Aluminium Trailers

Aluminium Trailers

Westerberg Aluminium Boats began building aluminium trailers in 2007, out of a need to package our boats with a trailer, which complimented the quality, strength and durability of our hull. We found most galvanised trailers had a limited useful fife of around 5 years, the design invariably included adjustable rollers which fatigue and manufacturers seemed to be in a cost cutting war which had affected quality.

Westerberg aluminium trailers are constructed of heavy I Beam and C channel aluminium sections to ensure minimal aluminium fatigue and flex and utilise torsion axles to alleviate the need for leaf springs, which are prone to rust. There are no weight savings to using aluminium in our trailers as the thickness of materials used to ensure a rigid frame offsets any advantage.

We use nylon skid material instead of rollers, which reduces maintenance of moving parts, and our nylon side bunks are welded fixed to the trailer, custom to the shape of your vessel.

Our trailers are built up to a standard rather than down to a price, and include as standard many features other manufacturers consider options.

Our trailers are custom built to suit each particular hull. Hulls vary in size weight, deadrise, keel and configeration. Each trailer will therefore be different to some degree.
